| Zanpakuto Spirit Registration Name: Kurayami Mizu (Mizumi for short) Name of Previous Owner: Fujiko Tenrai Age: Seven hundred and thirty nine. Appearance: What makes the spirit who she is, would be seen as her fiery shoulder length hair of red and the contrasting azure irises. With a body that is lithe, yet built, and a bust that is plump, she would put any other girls in the vicinity to shame with the attractive and appealing features of her body. Her manner of dressing up is often seen as crimson Lolita theme, with the red and black zebra stocking, checkered short skirt, and her complimentary red tie attached to her blackish shirt. Often the shirt left open, leaving her stomach exposed whilst concealing her breasts from view. The shackles remaining along with the clothing too with a broken off chain, a possible symbolism to her temporary slavery to her Shinigami overlord that once held her and used her. Gender: Female
Personality: In a word; sociopathic. Mizu is one of the mentally unsuited variety. She has ups and downs, but her main pleasure is the torment of others. True to the textbook definition, she can be charming and magnetic while in reality has little to no regard to the rights of others, seeing them as targets and toys to be used and thrown away, without feeling an iota of remorse over it. She lies chronically and has poor behavioral control, choosing to live on the edge to feel something, consistently bringing others down with her. She looks young, but is readily promiscuous and highly irresponsible. She actively seeks out those who would prey on 'young girls' before gleefully turning the tables. She is secretive, paranoid, obsessive compulsive, and has the most remarkable ability to hide the chaos inside her and appear normal if she tries. In truth, she has neither love nor loyalty for anyone, not even herself. The perfect sociopath with a very flexible personality. The only thing she loves is power and power is what she clings to, whether if someone has it, if it's an object or simply the plain concept of it. -------------------- Hair Color: A deep blazing red which seems to shine in sunlight. Likes:High places, fashion, violent yet funny situations, being alone, embarrassing and/or flustering random people, anything particularly mischievous, strength, and finally sleeping. Dislikes:Uneducated dipshits, being ordered in what she should and should not do, getting wet, Shinigami, hyper active people, humid weather. Crushes:Most often not much can attract the romantic intentions of Mizu, she can be momentarily infatuated with an act of violence or a powerful presence, however if they can not do something to continue her interest, she often will dismiss them instantly -------------------- Specialties:Perception- Able to quite often discern what people's true intentions are from only being near them for a few moments, this gives her an ample skill to tell friend from foe quite quickly. The only person that she has met who happens to resist this some how, is a particular Bount who shall not be named. Gracefulness- An uncanny knack for balancing has allowed Mizu to be a very graceful young woman, never seeming to put a foot out of place, or fall over. Every swipe of her sword elegant and swift. Almost noble at times. History:When does a Zanpaktou truly have the right to say they exist, forever tied to a Shinigami's fate, most would say they don't exist, nor would they ever exist. For it is not known to a Zanpaktou whether they are born, created, or merely have been in stasis for eternity, waiting for someone to wake them up. Darkness was all that Kurayami Mizu had known for as long as her memory could remember, not like her fellow brothers and sisters, she did not sleep and dream as they did, she merely remained concealed in the dark nothingness, alone, deprived of all that made a life worth living, merely an existence without a purpose, in a place where a purpose did not exist until someone who could control you awoke to themselves. Truly a disgusting life, having to rely on someone else for your own soul to live, it was no surprise that in the time that she spent concealed, a bitterness rose up within her, a dark feeling that no amount of suppression could truly hide. Then came the fateful day, when she would be dragged from her world and plunged into the soul of another, the light piercing her eyes as chained bonded themselves to her soul, not literal chances, but a feeling of her life being forcibly bonded to another. The pain of those first moments, could not possibly be described in any language that has or ever will exist. It would be many months before she would even learn the name of the Shinigami that had wrenched her out of seclusion, speaking of which the world that Kurayami Mizu had found herself in was drastically different then her own, it seemed to stretch on forever, a pristine ocean with no waves, nor rippled but for the ones that echoed out onwards from every soft little step, a translucent rain cascaded continuously from the heavens despite no clouds visible upon the horizon. The most noticeable feature however were the innumerable amount of chains drifting almost likes waves beneath the water's edge, the thickest of which bound to Kurayami Mizu's wrists tightly, ensuring her will was to her master, and nothing more. It was an unusual state of affairs for a Zanpaktou to be forever in pain just by being wielded, perhaps it was her incompatibility with her wielder, perhaps it was every negative emotion her wielder felt she had to take the brunt of it, who knows. All that is certain is that one fateful day sometime in the future, the master would become the servant to the slave's will. It's not recorded in the history logs when exactly Kurayami Mizu had started to break away from her master, much like a soul becoming a hollow she would slowly break the chains that bound her to the ever calm sea, only to have them regenerate the following day as her master awoke from slumber, only to be used violently in the seeking of what was called "knowledge". Truly it wasn't knowledge at all, it was pure torture, Mizu felt the pain and anguish of ever lab specimen that her master impaled. She could feel the pain as her ability literally killed them from the outside. If Mizu had been innocent or in anyway naive before there was no hope of that side ever returning. Truly by being wielded she became warped from the person she once was, now sadistic and almost uninhibited, somehow she began to grow weary of her Shinigami even more-so, in the restrain the Shinigami had toward humans, toward anyone in fact, it was sickening, they had power... why did they not just snuff out anyone who opposed. No, rather then show their full power they would hide behind a Commander and act like a pack of trained dogs, eager to please the master who held their reins. The Shinigami to Mizu's eyes weren't slave masters anymore, they were merely weak willed fools, worse then the Zanpaktou spirits they enslaved, at least the Zanpaktou didn't have a choice in the matter. It was a December month during the last days of her enslavement to her Shinigami, the seasons had changed and the briefest touch of snow powered the soft grass upon the Rukongai plains, Captains had often come here to train in the past, and that Winter day was no different. A communion as it was, the first time her master "Fujiko" had ever attempted to enter her Zanpaktou's inner world, a mistake she would pay for with her life. Upon the first soft tap against the water's pristine surface chains would snake up around the captain's neck tightly, Kurayami Mizu holding them in place as she pulled back harshly, constricting the jugular and ultimately crushing it, an act so forceful and manic that it caused the ever regenerating chain that bound her to literally crumble away, the inner world falling apart around the Zanpaktou, and her now soulless Shinigami. At that moment all Kurayami Mizu knew was sleep before feeling the cold air brush over her body, the grass around her damp and soft with melting snow, her eyes blinked softly as they viewed the new world she awoke to, a world without chains, without boundaries, she could do what she wanted, when she wanted, and how she wanted. This would be fun...

Her eyes casually scanned the room from left to right, despite looking like a bomb had literally been dropped in there; it was surprisingly clean and sterile. Liquids softly boiled in test tubes lining the walls, pieces of Hollows that had been extracted littered the containers towards the back of the room, some of the samples even moving around faintly still, attesting to the freshness of the extraction. Fujiko strolled through the rather spacious area slowly, the fingertips of her left hand casually gliding against the smooth surface of the bench beside her, her vision before distorted in wonderful colors and patterns as she passed by the various experiments which seemed half finished or barely even started, the previous Captain obviously hadn't been one to finish what they had started from all intents and purposes, just by gazing at all of the various structures of wires that lay sprawled out everywhere. Counting them one by one would be a waste of time in fact, there seemed to be literally no visible catalog system, such an annoyance. However her train of thought was distracted for but a brief moment as a smile crossed her lips, quickly shuffling to the very end of the lab she reached her hands forward to grasp lightly at the soft fabric, white and completely clean, it felt nice against her delicate hands as she yanked it off the coat hook and flung it over her shoulders. She flipped her hair up lightly so it wasn't pushed down by the haori before looking back over her shoulder at the small mirror that hung was situated beside the coat hook, she could hardly recognize herself. There staring back at her in the mirror was a Captain, someone who looked refined, powerful..even if it were not the case the mere adding of the haori onto her small frame gave her that appearance, and to think, just a few hours earlier she
had merely been a 3rd seat, a nobody in Soul Society, people would actually depend on her now, the pressure of the situation finally hitting her like a freight train as she hung her head dramatically, an exaggerated sigh escaping her lips momentarily before she licked them to wet them once more.
Literally almost sweeping her feet across the ground in a slide like motion, Fujiko skidded across to the other side of the room, a terminal lightly humming as binary code shifted across the screen, an obvious code left by the last Captain in order to access the computer, quite a simple lock though, there had to be something more to it, perhaps a timer on when it could be entered, perhaps all of the code had to be displayed, perhaps it had to be typed up number for number exactly in the same speed that it was now displaying. Taking a step back from the terminal for a moment, Fujiko contemplated merely trying to enter the code, but came to a decision to leave the terminal alone until further examination could be done in the future, perhaps another of the researchers could tell her the purpose of the binary code all in due time. As she continued to casually observe the code running down the screen something caught her attention with movement just out of her peripheral vision her eyes darting to the side to gaze at a black rock, it seemed to be floating gracefully within a field of condensed energy, it's power fluctuating rapidly between high and low energy sources as demonstrated by the dull purple light the rock seemed to emit, the surface seemed to be a solid, yet looked like it was rippling with every passing second, a truly odd sight to behold as Fujiko leaned forward to get a closer look, her hands resting against the bench as her feet dangled slightly off the ground, balancing precariously on her tippy toes, her nose merely an inch away from the spherical field that kept the substance contained. Her eyes blinked softly as she continued to observe it, even though it made no change to it's constantly rippling surface something was intriguing about it's make up, Fujiko had never seen something quite like it, a gelatinous substance that remained solid, even though it appeared the field around it was constantly bombarding it with energy in order to keep it from expanding, or contained, she couldn't be quite sure at the current time, she didn't have access to the computers as of yet. With a slight huff though, Fujiko prepared to push herself back from her leaning in, but the counter with a slightly slippery surface hadn't allowed her a proper hold to re-balance herself and with a slightly lean forward the very tip of her nose came in contact with a soft zap, dispelling the field instantly and letting the appeared to be solid object ooze out all over the counter, the faint purple glow continuing to radiate outwards as Fujiko fell back on her ass, colliding on the floor with a soft thud.
A soft curse would have escaped her lips if someone else were even there, but being alone Fujiko saw little point in saying anything aloud. Straightening her clothes out lightly she got back to her feet, the now unknown substance to her had settled into a nice little perfectly round puddle upon the bench, the rippling effect no longer occurring but other than that the substance appeared to be undamaged, thank god for that. Her hand outstretched almost instinctively, her index finger poking into the black goo, it shifting around her finger lightly only to bond to the tip as she pulled her hand away, the substance trying to cling to it as if drawn to her skin. It felt extremely odd for but a moment before she yanked her hand away, the goo splatting back down into the puddle it seemed to try and reach up from, it seemed almost symbiotic for the brief moment that it had made contact, something unnerving about it and yet powerful all in one instant.
How perplexing this situation was, there were so many other experiments going on it this quite spacious lab, yes her eyes were only drawn to this one substance, liquid yet solid at the same time, only seeming to produce a burst of energy, of symbiosis when in touch with an outside source, what could it's uses be? Could it be turned into a weapon, or something to help the Shinigami in the coming war? Fujiko's mind was a washed with thoughts pertaining to the experiment, so much so that she hadn't even noticed the obvious presence of Rekkan, whom she had only met once, briefly in the past when first being placed into one of the 13 protection squads, even though he had made no attempt at concealing himself, to her, his presence had not even registered at all. Her eyes focused in once more as she rubbed her left index finger and thumb together rapidly, small sparks of Reiatsu being ignited upon the finger before pressing it down into the black substance lightly, a bright pulse emitted for but a moment as it seemed an energy field of sorts flowed outwards and contained Fujiko's form for but a moment in time, a sort of negative energy that felt all too similar to the Seki Seki stone that surrounded the Shinigami's homeland in an impenetrable wall. It was quite rude of her to still focus on her work even though Rekkan, had even poked at her sides, something that would have normally caused the girl to squeak and possibly fall over, however the experiment was far too fascinating for words to describe, how had the former 12th Captain gone so long without putting it too an applicable use, her incompetence seemed to appear to have no bounds. However there were more pressing matters at the time, the field that had surrounded Fujiko at that particular moment formed when Kidou energy was place into the Black substance, there could be a use for defense as the Captain Commander had wanted Fujiko to improve there security somewhat. After all the things she had seen in this lab up to this very moment, the substance before her seemed the most applicable, but it had to be tested, if it were to backfire something horrible could happen, and that would be surely a costly mistake for a new Captain to make.
It was time to test her theories, just how much damage could one of these fields take before it dissipated, how much energy would need to be produced to widen the circumference? These were the questions that Fujiko need to answer, the small sparks of reiatsu forming upon her fingertips without a moments notice and pressing into the good, the field erupting outwards and burning the floor slightly as more energy had been applied to it, the field was slightly unstable with the small amount of Kidou energy used to fuel it, however it had formed just as Fujiko had predicted it would, with a quick movement of her free hand, Fujiko had drawn her Wakizashi from it's soft aqua blue sheath, the blade glimmering lightly as the purple hue of the pulsating barrier around her cause it to shimmer. The time to test the durability was now, and with a quick swipe, she slashed her blade outward to the field, expecting a clang or it to be rebounded, instead she saw the field begin to eat away at her blade, using it as fuel to expand itself, quickly pulling back the end of her Wakizashi had been stained black, the reiatsu slightly sapped from it. "It eats away reiatsu exactly like Seki Seki stone, however it doesn't merely negate it, it saps it and uses it for energy, truly fascinating" the words had escaped her mouth in all but a whisper as the field around her began to dissipate the moment her fingers pulled away from the black substance, her zanpaktou would heal within a few moment so it was of no concern for her at this current time. The current emitted by this shield was vastly more powerful then she had first thoughts, and with more power applied to it, it would expand quite generously as well, and there was the idea, just a small amount of the liquid would provide the desired effect if it were to be treated as a high level Kidou spell, if treated in this way the effect would last until the kidou energy was deactivated, a perfect lock down, nothing able to get in, nothing able to get out. It was brilliant, a true scientific discovery. The liquid of course would have to be separated and formed into something that the captains could carry around of course, perhaps a spiritual essence that could be grafted onto their soul, enabling it never to be stolen in the process. Shifting her stand down the counter some, Fujiko leaned her arm forwards grasping a scalpel, the intent for this blade to finely cut the almost solid yet liquid mass into pieces, 20 equal pieces to be precise, however only 13 intended to be used right at this very moment. Too lower the solid process of the substance she gently and cleanly poured an artificial reiatsu into it, the substance turning more liquid the solid as she lightly scooped it into test tubes, after a few more tests she came to the conclusion that this would be a viable defense for the soul society, before pouring one vial of the liquid down her top lightly, only to watch it pool in the crevice of her cleavage then slowly sink into her skin to be bound into her reiatsu. Now the only job left was too teach the other Captains the incantation, and inject them with the now appropriately named "Black Keys".
Gathering up the now bottled Black Keys, Fujiko left her lab, locking it immediately after her and made to exit the Research Institute, she needed to inform the Captain Commander of her experiment, and also allow her to be injected with it.
-------------------- Sealed Description: Kurayami Mizu's sealed blade takes the form of a Wakizashi, it's hilt wrapped tightly in a purple crisscross pattern. The blade measures from hilt to tip of the blade at 75 centimeters, making it slightly longer then most Wakizashi's. The blade itself is a pure silver, lighting engraved with a floral like pattern down the length of the blade, which catches the light slightly when the blade is swung Family: Water Level: Bankai Shikai: Kurayami Mizu in Shikai form does not seem to change in appearance all that much, depending on the circumstance of it's release. The blade will remain the same appearance, not appearing to change at all besides taking on a wet appearance, as if the metal had just been cleanly swiped through water. The blade will stay like this for as long as the Shikai is active, slowly dripping water from it. In an area with intense moisture or water all around however, the blade will elongate by drawing in the moisture around it and creating an added water blade to grow from the very tip of the sword, meaning in battle the blade would be altered in size and shape under various conditions, enhanced it's capacity for combat, but not lowering it's lightness and maneuverability.
Shikai Ability: Transcended BladeDue to the water properties of Kurayami Mizu, the Shikai ability takes an odd twist on the normal type of combat a blade can do. Instead of damaging the outer flesh of the body, Mizu's blade will phase through her opponent as if the flesh was merely a ripple in a lake to strike at the internal organs. An internal Organ that is struck by this method will begin to shut down almost instantaneously over a duration of 3 posts. If no internal organ is in fact struck, the muscle that Kurayami Mizu phased through will begin to corrode, limiting movement and providing intense pain. This effect is only activated with a stabbing motion however, a slice will not cause the Shikai effect. Bankai:Simple named "Realm of Eternal Rain". Upon the final release of Kurayami Mizu's Zanpaktou form, a large blast of Reiatsu will spread out from her direction for miles. It is unknown exactly what this effect has on the environment, however it causes the Reishi particles within the air to be converted into the same energy that Fujiko uses for her devastating water abilities. The simple effect of this is her Bankai causes it to rain, no matter the weather, no matter if it is indoors, it is truly an eternal rain, that does not cease until Kurayami seals her power once more. The bladed Wakizashi seen in her sealed form is in fact replaced by a elongated, blue in design Katana, it's ability to be wielded effortlessly would make it appear that it is in fact weightless, however the truth in the matter being that it is actually highly pressurized water.
Bankai Ability:Crushing SpiritThough her Bankai isn't as straight forward as her Shikai it is quite deadly, the rain in which her Bankai produces is high pressurized spiritual water, each rain droplet containing a state of pressure at 500 pounds per square inch, this may not seem like much at first, given the strength of Spiritual beings, but when taken into account that thousand of water droplets are falling upon the battle field in a downpour, and the opponent will feel intense pain from merely being present. Naturally the ability doesn't affect Kurayami Mizu in the slightest, being that she is her own weapon. Techniques:Name Despair [Shikai/Bankai] Description A simple yet highly effective skill for a Water using Shinigami to possess. By uttering the phrase "Despair" while stroking her hand down the blade, the faint water covering the smooth metal will surge, cause the blade's edge to become jagged and pulsate similar to that of a saw blade or chainsaw. This in effect causes the cutting capacity of Mizu's blade to increase three fold. It may not however be used in conjunction with the Shikai ability "Phase Strike". Duration: 8 posts (unless stopped beforehand to revert to Shikai ability) Cool Down: 4 Posts Name: Cry [Shikai/Bankai] Description: A devastatingly painful attack for a Water user to possess. Through uttering the phrase "Cry" Kurayami Mizu's Zanpaktou blade will bubble before turning into pure water, it will elongate out into a whip like form of 7 feet in length, this by far not being it's limit however as water can be bent to Mizu's will while this technique is activated, allowing her to elongate the whip by up to 3-5 feet when needed, making it's length ever changing and extremely hard to predict. The water that makes up the whip is highly pressurized, even further so by the reiatsu Mizu pours into the technique, if a limb were to be caught with this skill, the whip would immediatly begin to tear into the flesh at a fast rate, the rate becoming faster every turn the whip is active for. Duration: 5 posts (As the whip is longer out, the more powered it will become, making it's cutting power and speed the fastest at the 5th and last post before the technique ends) Cool Down: 5 posts Name: Screaming Ocean [Bankai] Description: Upon the release of this technique, chains will slash out of the ground, created by Kurayami Mizu's will alone, they will connect to her the broken shackles that hang from her wrists and that is where the fun begins, every droplet of rain from her bankai ability will be drawn to her instantly, causing thousands upon thousands of pounds of pressure to accumulate into one crushing attacking (16,000 pounds per square inch to be precise, the pressure found at the very bottom of the deepest part of the ocean, can crush a person easily) The will be released at her opponent almost like a tidal wave of energy, should the opponent get caught within the torrent, the likely hood of survival is less then 3%. The best course of action would be too dodge as quickly as possible. Duration:1 Post Cool down: 10 posts NOTE: Due to using her Bankai ability to perform this technique, it will not begin raining again till the cool down is over, thus Kurayami Mizu will have to fight with her Shikai skills till that point in time. Name: Auto Tech (Mythical Freeze)
Effect: At the End of the Battle when the Zanpakuto Holder has fallen your Zanpakuto can freeze them, which would end up killing them, and free their Zanpakuto to become a spirit and return to the base. This may only be used when an opponent is surely defeated (i.e. fallen unconcious or dead).
