A Little Piece of Heaven

Midnight bells rang through the trees of Karakura park. Moka endulged in the sweet atmosphere of the night. She sat silently on an empty park bench, watching the bats fly in dizzy shapes above her head. The sight made her smile. Her soft pale lips parted slightly, a light yawn escaping them. Her daily life always seemed to drain the energy she always held so dear. A sudden pulsing sensation gave her hope. She turned her gaze to a mass of trees. Fortune had smiled upon her. A menos lurked among the trees, stalking her. Her eyes flickered with a menacing red hue. She could kill two birds with fifty bats. With a grin, she snapped her fingers. In a split second, fifty bats the size of a large rat swarmed and attacked the hollow. Its howls tormented her ears, but she watched as her pets bit and drained the hollow of its reiatsu. All that remained was a pile of ash. Once the bats finished, they swarmed Moka, a hundred tiny fangs pricking her flesh. The bats pumped the stolen reiatsu into her, refueling her body.

Moka's body shimmered as a crimson aura consumed her. She glanced at the figure that approached her, her eyes burning red as she continued to distribute the freshly attained reiatsu throughout her body. Soon the aura faded. Assimilation completed. Moka's eyes now became their normal green hue. She smiled at the male. Why yes.. I am the Third Ascended One. My name is Moka Akashiya. I'm, as you may have already guessed, a vampire and I'm no enemy She reached her right hand out and shook the male's.

Lunais smiled back, "That's good to hear. Moka Akashia, huh? Such a pretty name. It's very nice to meet you." After shaking her hand, he looked over past the surrounding tress and noticed the city lights in the distance. Lunais sighed as he looked back at Moka, "Well...It's apparently my turn to go food shopping for our base but I could swear Roku is trying to make that my permanent chore. Well, I'm going to go to the supermarket before the sun rises. You're more than welcome to join me if you want but I'll warn you it can be frustrating." Slowly walking away with his arms up, elbows pointing to either side of him and his hands folded behind his head, he tried to find the nearest store with headphones before he did the actual shopping.

Moka watched as the male left. She just shrugged and sat back on the park bench, gazing up at the starlit sky. Agentle breeze caressed her body like a lover's embrace, enveloping her in the warmth of the summer's lush evening weather.
