A planet, completely changed over the centuries. Races, thought to exist only in stories, make their presence known. And visitors from the stars reveal themselves from the shadows of the universe.
The elves, though very powerful and able to live an enormous amount of time, were thin in numbers and needed the humans to continue their lineage.
The aliens, though few made themselves know, wanted to change the primitive humans and teach them the ways of the universe.
Humans had to adapt to all the incredible changes, they needed a leader.
They found one in the great mages, elven folk gifted in extreme magic. At the head of the reformation, was Dalion. A great warrior and a kind teacher. Human, yet somehow he was able to use magic as well as any elf and his knowledge was vast as any alien. He rebuilt the cities to fit the needs of all the planet's inhabitants, making them into the biggest and most amazing cities ever seen. Life was good and everyone seemed to get along.
But peace can't last forever......
Everyone dies, Dalion being no exception. In his honor, the grandest of all the neon cities was renamed after its creator. It became an epicenter for all information and everyone gathered to it.
That's when the rumors started.
Humans started it, they bragged that Dalion had used some sort of artifact to heal the planet. No human should have been able to do magic or have that much knowledge back then. The whispers soon grew in infamy. People, humans, elves, and aliens alike, disappeared on long journeys seeking out this Artifact that could give someone the seemingly endless amounts of power. No one ever succeeded and few ever returned at all.
Still, even with the failures, people never lost sight of the dream. Factions, known as Clans, were formed. They schooled people in jobs needed to find the Artifact.
Fighters - the up close and personal type usually. A fighter usually specialized in a type of weapon and focused the way they trained around that. Normally people who were fighters had been trained for much of their lives.
Hackers - were people who specialized the way they did things through technology. This included robotics, and system mainframe breaking. A hacker was usually equipped with a special little device that looked like a PDA. This small device was what most of their work came from.
Magi - were the decedents of the Mages of old. Bits of every race were included within the magi. They possessed some magic power, but had to train for years before they could start to really master it. Usually they were specialize in one type of magic, and focused all of their power on that.
and
Marksmen - were people who specialized in projectile weapons and had excellent accuracy. They usually began training at a young age and spent most their life working with projectiles.
The factions were created and soon began fighting amongst each other, wanting to find the Artifact before the other.
If they did, how would they use it?
What would happen if they found the truth out?
Where do you stand in all this?
It's time...
